Musings
I go back and forth about my opinion of London. Usually I just feel like I moved somewhere in the US where there happen to be a lot of foreigners. At other times (like when I'm walking across Traffalgar Square to get to the National Gallery), I'm very impressed with myself and feel like an accomplished traveler. Makes me feel connected to those who have felt like that before. London is a huge and beautiful city, but I don't think that I could ever live here. Its too big and crowded and gray. On the other hand, will I get back to Washington and realize that I miss the constant hustle and the enormous amount of art and culture that London offers? Probably. Joe and I were talking about this the other day and we agreed on the following: Its great to love where you are, but its also great to want to go home. That just means that home is a good place.
Enough of that contemplating! Gotta get to work on my Europe trip planning!
